MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. -- Officials arrested a couple from Metropolis on Thursday in relation to a series of storage unit break-ins.Â

Officials took Justin C. Lloyd and Shanna K. Hooks, of Metropolis, to McCracken County Regional Jail on Thursday after a two-month-long investigation into the thefts.Â
According to a release from the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, the first reported burglary occurred on January 8 at 3542 Lovelaceville Road in Paducah. Officials began the investigation that day with a call to the victim.Â
Three weeks later, on February 1, officials discovered another 12 units had been burglarized at Mansfield Storage at 9710 Old US 60. Deputies obtained security footage at this location and noticed a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee entering the facility.Â
On February 28, deputies once again received word of storage-unit burglaries. The department drove to 9510 US 60 in West Paducah. The release said this time, the burglar hit eight units. Officials again saw the Cherokee enter the facility before the crime.Â
Officials learned Lloyd was the owner of the Cherokee through investigation. On Thursday, deputies stopped a Cherokee while driving. Lloyd was indeed driving and Hooks was the passenger.Â
Deputies at the stop also said the pair possessed Methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and burglary tools in the car. Officials immediately brought the pair to jail.Â
