PADUCAH, Ky. -- Two children and two adults were taken to a hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said the incident took place on June 15, at 3:48 p.m., along I-24 eastbound near the 16 mile marker.

Deputies with the sheriff's office responded and started investigating. The sheriff's office said a 37-year-old was driving a 2021 Ford Bronco on I-24 going east. At this time, a 71-year-old was driving a 2019 Buick Encore on I-24 in the same area.

Both vehicles reportedly collided which then sent both off the roadway where they overturned into the median and on the on-ramp of Exit 16.

Both of the drivers had to be assisted out of their vehicles.

Two children were reported to be in the Ford Bronco at the time of the crash.

All four involved in the two-vehicle crash were taken to a hospital with injuries.

Assisting the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office was the Reidland Fire Department and Mercy Regional Ambulance.
