BENTON, Ill. -- Fire crews responded to a vehicle fire along I-57 in Franklin County Tuesday morning.
The vehicle fire also affected traffic moving south along the interstate.
The Franklin County Emergency Management Agency alerted the public at 6:09 a.m., urging people to avoid the area of I-57 SB around the 68 mile marker.
Motorists alerted News 3 about the traffic being impacted in the area.
A photo of the vehicle shows the fire burned the entire truck along the shoulder of the highway.
