A Madison County grand jury has indicted a Florissant, Missouri man in connection with the August death of a Brooklyn police officer.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (WSIL) � An emotional day for the region as fallen Officer Brian Pierce, Jr. is laid to rest. The 24-year-old, who lived in Carbondale, was killed in the line of duty on August 3rd while working in the Metro East.
One officer even stopped to touch the Brooklyn Squad Car parked out front. Officer Pierce, Jr. was a member of the Brooklyn Police Department.
The officer, with Southern Illinois ties, was killed in the line of duty last week.
