Ron Shelton, father of Pittsburg Pirates Manager Derek Shelton, is in town and running a baseball camp this week at James Street Park in Carterville with the idea of keeping it fun and respect the game.
there are no drills, there's instruction, but it's sandlot baseball, lots of games.
Shelton has been running his camp in Tampa Florida the last 15 years, was in town to see his son manage against the Cardinals and decided to make some extra time for local kids.
