CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- Heavy rain and a few storms continue to push through parts of the region this afternoon.
The storms will track east southeast before eventually clearing later this evening. Southern Illinois and western Kentucky will be impacted by more spotty storms before the drier weather returns. Isolated flooding is possible but no severe weather is expected.
Sunday will be the drier day of the weekend. The sunshine will also return making it a nice day for the pool or the lake. With the return of the sunshine temperatures will also heat back up. High temperatures are projected to climb back up near 90 in the afternoon.
Isolated storm chances with return as we start the work week along with more humidity. Meteorologist Jacie Brianne will be tracking the return of the heat, tonight on News 3.
