OLMSTED Ill. (WSIL) -- Multiple agencies responded to a water emergency at the Olmsted Lock and Dam on Tuesday morning after a work tugboat overturned, leaving multiple people in the Ohio River.
Rescue operations were initially underway after the incident took place, with units from Pulaski County and multiple fire departments from across the region.
The Pulaski County Emergency Management Agency stated this incident resulted in multiple people in the water.
No injuries or deaths were reported with this incident.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene and assisted with mutual aid. This includes Pulaski County EMS as the lead agency, the McCracken EMA for boat support, Mound City Fire Department, Olmsted Fire Department, McCracken County Ambulance, the U.S. Coast Guard, along with other area agencies.
The boat remains in the water as of the late morning hours on Tuesday.
