Three firefighters injured after responding to a fire in Uptown Jackson, Missouri on June 5.
JACKSON, Mo. (WSIL) � UPDATE: June 6, 3:03 p.m. - The Jackson Fire Rescue stated the Missouri State Fire Marshals Office ruled the cause to be an accidental electrical issue.
ORIGINAL: June 5, 9: 54 p.m. - A dozen fire departments responded to Uptown Jackson for a business fire.Â
Firefighters on scene tell News 3 crews were called to 119 S. High Street for a working fire. Multiple structures were impacted, including Fringe, Sweetheart Florist of Jackson and Sam’s Fine Jewelry.Â
Fire crews said there was a partial roof collapse at one of the businesses.Â
Three firefighters were injured with one taken to a hospital, fire officials said.Â
Roughly a dozen fire departments responded from the area, including fire departments from Jackson, Cape Girardeau, Gordonville, Delta and more.Â
Fire crews said one of the businesses was a total loss with another business sustaining fire and smoke damage. Other businesses were said to have smoke and water damage.
