VIENNA, IL (WSIL) -- Children in the region are receiving some help in staying warm during the winter season this year.
The need for food is growing as pandemic aid dries up and a local outreach group is looking to keep addressing that need going into 2023.
Arrowleaf received an $8,000 grant from Molina Healthcare to help keep items stocked at a community closet in Vienna.
Thanks to the grant, Arrowleaf is now able to keep its newly developed community closet better stocked to help those in need.
The grand opening is Friday, August 19 at 300 Red Bud Lane in Vienna, Illinois from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The 'Client Choice' food pantry gives those receiving food the chance to select their own groceries, instead of receiving a preselected assortment of food.Â

Runners met at Vienna City park to register and catch a bus to the starting line further away on Tunnel Hill State Park trail.
The new food pantry partnered with Tri-State Food Bank which provides a portion of the product.
The month is used to help spread hope and vital information to people impacted by suicide.
