MARION (WSIL) � Hunter Simmons led Marion Football to an undefeated season and threw for 1,693 yards and 13 touchdowns over six games this past season. On Wednesday, the Wildcats quarterback made things official, signed a scholarship to play for Southern Illinois University. “When they came through with the offer, I was excited,� Simmons said.

We visited with the Terriers on Wednesday and stopped off at Marion on Thursday. It was a wet practice, but the Wildcats got in a good workout. They didn’t like how they practiced on Wednesday

Guys were in helmets and t-shirts, slinging the football around, going through drills, all things you normally you see in August and not March.
