1 dead, 2 seriously injured after two-vehicle crash

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (WSIL) � A 27-year-old is dead and two others are seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash in Cape Girardeau on Thursday.

The Cape Girardeau Police Department said they responded to the crash at 9:37 a.m. on January 23, in the 700-block of Mt. Auburn.

Police said a 2013 Hyundai Accent was going north when it crossed the center line and crashed into a 2024 Chevrolet Suburban.

The 27-year-old driver of the Hyundai Accent was identified as Devon Holley. Holley was pronounced dead after the crash.

The driver of the Suburban was a 49-year-old woman from Jackson and the passenger was a 7-year-old from Jackson. They were both reported to have serious injuries.

The crash is under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol with the assistance by the Cape Girardeau Police Department.
