SAINT LOUIS, MO (WSIL) -- Ameren has issued a warning to its customers about a new utility scam.
Customers are contacted on the phone by these scammers offering a special discount of $29.99, which they refer to as a "senior discount". These scammers pose as Ameren employees.
If a customer receives one of these calls, they should hang up and call Ameren Missouri at 18005527583 or Ameren Illinois at 18007555000 to report the scam.
