(WSIL)---Rides mass transit wants to make things easier for Marion and Herrin residents.
Next week, they'll have 20-minute frequencies in Marion and 60 minute frequencies starting in Herrin.
Riding capacity is down right now.
Operations manager Jeffrey Drake said they still want to serve their customers while also staying efficient.
"We still know that people need to get to non emergency medical appointments. They still need to get to work. We still have routes that operate early in the morning and late in the evening. The Williamson Jackson County area is by far our biggest in our 18 county district and our region so we know that people still need to ride and still need to get places and we're confident that these couple of service tweaks will give people that opportunity," said Drake.
The changes go into effect Monday.
