The Jackson County Sheriff's Office is providing more details about Wednesday morning's crash.Â
Deputies say around 9:35 a.m. a man walked out in front of the Vienna HS bus.Â
The man, 52-year-old James Craft of Carbondale, was taken to a local hospital for serious injuries. He was later flown to a St. Louis area hospital.Â
No students or staff were injured.Â
The investigation is ongoing.Â

CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- A Vienna School bus was involved in a crash in Jackson County Wednesday morning.Â
It happened on Giant City Road between No Name Road and Boskeydell Road, south of Carbondale.Â
Vienna Superintendent Joshua Stafford said while a bus was en-route to SIU, a pedestrian walked out in front of the bus.
The person hit was taken to a hospital for treatment. All students were uninjured and have arrived at SIU for their event.Â
No other details were provided.
