WSIL(CARTERVILLE, IL)-- It was another day of well above average temperatures with cloudy skies. We did see a few isolated showers this morning and afternoon, but most of us did remain dry. Currently, we are seeing a few stray showers on the radar and temperatures that are still in the mid to upper 50s in most locations.Â
For this evening, temperatures will be in the low 50s, due to near constant, light southerly winds out of the south at 5 to 10 miles per hour. Showers chances will and become a little more isolated. This evening will not be a wash out by any means.Â
Isolated showers will be continuing through the overnight hours and temperatures will be in the low 50s and upper 40s.Â
Tomorrow, we will start the day with temperatures in the low 50s and upper 40s. Isolated showers will be possible tomorrow morning, but showers will decrease as we go through out the day on Saturday. Temperatures by mid morning will be in the mid 50s, and highs tomorrow will be in the upper 50s, to near 60 for most of us. Winds tomorrow will be constant at about 5 to 7 miles per hour, which will help keep us warm despite overcast skies.Â
Shower chances likely won't return until late in the evening. We will see isolated showers on Sunday with highs in the mid 60s.Â
For Christmas Day, we are tracking highs that will be in the upper 50s to near 60s. Widespread rain is likely on Christmas day, especially in the morning.Â
We should see temperatures return to near average following the system on Christmas Day. Â
