After storms this morning, more strong to severe thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening across parts of the area, bringing the chance of large hail, damaging winds, and even tornadoes.
These storms are expected to develop in the afternoon as individual cells, which could then become powerful and organized. As the evening progresses, these storms are likely to merge and grow larger as they move out of the region.
Expect the most intense storms this afternoon to form between 5 PM and 9 PM.
Cooler and drier conditions are expected to settle in for the middle to latter half of the week. While most of the week will be dry, there's a slight chance of an isolated shower. Temperatures will remain cooler through the weekend.
Tuesday will see temperatures ranging from the low 80s to the upper 50s.
