SPRINGFIELD (WSIL) -- Time is running out for businesses and homeowners in 17 Illinois counties affected by flooding to apply for low-interest, long-term U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) loans. Â
SBA loans can help repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate.
Businesses and private non-profit organizations can also apply for loans to repair or replace machinery and equipment, inventory, and other assets.Â
Those in Alexander, Calhoun, Carroll, Greene, Henry, Jersey, Jo Daviess, Macoupin, Madison, Mercer, Ogle, Pulaski, Rock Island, Stephenson, Union, Whiteside, and Winnebago counties are eligible.
The deadline to file a loan application is January 13, 2020.Â
