14 southern Illinois counties report new COVID-19 cases

(WSIL) -- Fourteen southern Illinois counties reported new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday.

Williamson County reported 38 new cases of COVID-19. 22 new cases were confirmed in Randolph County. Jackson, Johnson and Perry counties each had seven additional cases for the day.

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has announced 2,295 new cases of COVID-19, including 25 additional confirmed deaths.

Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 211,889 cases, including 7,806 deaths, in Illinois.

FRANKLIN COUNTY

  • Females: One teenager, two in their 20’s, one in their 30’s, one in their 50’s, two in their 60’s and one in their 70’s
  • Males: One in their 60’s

To date, there have been 269 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Franklin County, including one death. Of the positive cases, health officials say 134 have recovered in Franklin County.

GALLATIN COUNTY

  • One male in his 20s

Egyptian Health Department says the man is at home in isolation. There have been 58 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including two deaths, in the county.

JACKSON COUNTY

  • Female: One in her 20s, two in their 30s, one in her 50s, and one in her 60s
  • Male: One in his 20s and one in his 50s

To date, there have been 810 confirmed cases in the county, including 20 related deaths. Health officials say 96 active cases are currently being managed.

JEFFERSON COUNTY

  • Female: One teen and three in their 20s
  • Male: One in his 70s

In addition to three new positive cases Wednesday, Jefferson County Health Department also announced one additional death at a long term care facility.

The health department says there have been 378 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 25 deaths, in the county. Seventy-seven cases are currently in isolation.

JOHNSON COUNTY

  • Female: Two in their 10s, two in their 30s, one in her 60s and one in her 80s
  • Male: One in his 30s

Johnson County has had 89 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Health officials say 22 of those positive cases are currently active.

MASSAC COUNTY

  • Male: One in his 30s and one in his 70s

There have been 48 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Massac County. Seven of those cases are currently active.

PERRY COUNTY

  • Female: One under the age of 18, one in her 40s, one in her 60s and one in her 80s
  • Male: One under the age of 10, one in his 40s and one in his 90s

Perry County has had 246 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including four deaths. Health officials say there are 85 active cases; 157 others have been released from isolation.

PULASKI COUNTY

  • One female in her 80s

There have been 102 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including one death, in Pulaski County. Health officials say nine of the positive cases are currently active.

RANDOLPH COUNTY

  • 22 new cases

Randolph County has had 591 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including seven deaths. The health department says three people are currently recovering in the hospital, while 102 others are recovering at home.

SALINE COUNTY

  • One male in his 40s

Egyptian Health Department says the man is at home in isolation. There have been 146 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including three deaths, in Saline County.

UNION COUNTY

  • Female: One in her 10s, one in her 20s and one in her 30s
  • Male: Two in their 40s and two in their 70s

To date, Union County has had 361 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 21 deaths. Southern Seven Health Department says 49 of the positive cases are currently active.

WAYNE COUNTY

  • Female: One in her 20s, one in her 40s and one in her 60s

There have been 80 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including two deaths, in Wayne County. Fifteen people are currently isolating at home. Health officials say 63 others have recovered.

WHITE COUNTY

  • Female: One in her teens, one in her 30s and one in her 50s

Egyptian Health Department says each of the individuals is at home in isolation. White County has had 101 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY

  • Females: Four teenagers, five in their 20’s, four in their 30’s, five in their 40’s, four in their 50’s, five in their 60’s, three in their 70’s, one in their 80’s and one in their 90’s.
  • Males: Two teenagers, one in their 20’s, one in their 30’s, and two in their 40’s.

To date, there have been 656 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including eight deaths, in Williamson County. Of the positive cases, health officials say 330 have recovered.
