(WSIL) -- More than 90 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in southern Illinois Thursday.
Nearly a quarter of the new cases - 23 - were in Williamson County.
Jefferson County had the second highest total with 15.
Also on Thursday, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) reported 2,166 new cases of COVID-19 in the state, including 25 additional confirmed deaths.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 295,440 cases, including 8,696 deaths, in Illinois.
FRANKLIN COUNTY
- Female: One in her 70s
- Male: One in his 20s, one in his 30s and two in their 50s
In addition to five new cases of COVID-19, Bi-County Health Department announced one additional death in the county.
Bi-County says a man in his 70s who was previously diagnosed with COVID-19 passed away.
To date, there have been 566 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including five deaths, in Franklin County.
GALLATIN COUNTY
- One male under the age of 10
Egyptian Health Department says the child is at home in isolation. Gallatin County has had 80 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including two deaths.
JACKSON COUNTY
- Female: One teen
- Male: One in his 30s
There have been 1,286 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Jackson County, including 24 related deaths. Jackson County Health Department says 34 active cases are currently being managed.
JEFFERSON COUNTY
- Female: One in her 20s, one in her 30s, one in her 50s, one in her 60s, two in their 70s and one in her 80s
- Male: Four in their 20s, one in his 40s, one in his 50s, one in his 60s and one in his 80s
Jefferson County Health Department reported 15 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday. The county has had 675 confirmed cases, including 32 deaths.
The health department says 82 active cases are currently in isolation.
JOHNSON COUNTY
- Female: One in her 40s and one in her 50s
- Male: Two in their 40s and three in their 50s
Johnson County reported seven new cases of COVID-19 Thursday. There have been 232 confirmed cases in the county. ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Seven Health Department says 113 cases are currently active.
MASSAC COUNTY
- Female: One in her 30s and one in her 40s
- Male: One in his 70s
Massac County has had 118 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including two deaths. Forty-seven cases are currently active.
PERRY COUNTY
- Female: One under the age of 17 and two in their 40s
- Male: One under the age of 13
There have been 363 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Perry County, including 16 deaths. The health department says 29 cases are currently active.
PULASKI COUNTY
- Female: One in her 30s and one in her 70s
Pulaski County has had 184 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including one death. ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Seven Health Department says 39 cases are currently active.
RANDOLPH COUNTY
- 7 new cases for Thursday, Oct. 1
There have been 978 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 12 deaths, in Randolph County. Health officials say three people are currently hospitalized, while 45 others are recovering at home.
SALINE COUNTY
- Female: Three in their 60s
- Male: One under the age of 5, one teen, one in his 20s, two in their 40s and one in his 60s
Egyptian Health Department reported nine new cases of COVID-19 in Saline County Thursday. All are said to be at home in isolation.
There have been a total of 377 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including four deaths, in Saline County.
UNION COUNTY
- Female: One in her 30s
- Male: One in his 20s, one in his 40s and one in his 50s
Union County has had 513 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 20 deaths. Health officials say 89 cases are currently active.
WAYNE COUNTY
- Female: One teen, two in their 20s, one in her 30s, one in her 60s and one in her 70s
- Male: One teen, one in his 20s and one in his 80s
Wayne County Health Department reported nine new cases of COVID-19 Thursday. The county has had 306 confirmed cases, including seven deaths.
The health department says nine people are currently hospitalized, while 47 others are isolating at home.
WHITE COUNTY
- Female: One in her 50s, one in her 60s, one in her 70s and one in her 80s
- Male: One in his 20s, one in his 60s and one in his 80s
According to Egyptian Health Department, there were seven new cases of COVID-19 in White County Thursday.
The county has had a total of 184 confirmed cases, including one death.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY
- Female: Five in their 30s, one in her 40s, three in their 50s, three in their 60s and one in her 70s
- Male: One under the age of 10, one teen, four in their 30s, two in their 40s, one in his 50s and one in his 70s
In addition to 23 new cases of COVID-19, Bi-County Health also announced one additional death in Williamson County.
Bi-County says a woman in her 80s from a long-term care facility passed away.
To date, there have been 1,465 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 52 deaths, in Williamson County.
