(WSIL) -- Health departments in southern Illinois are reporting 15 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, March 28, 2021. Health officials are also confirming an additional death of a resident.
Franklin County:
- Females: one child between 5-10, three teenagers, one in their 30’s.
- Males: one child between 5-10.
Health officials are reporting an additional death. The person is a male in his 50's and bring the county death toll to 62 lives lost.
Franklin County has had 4,369 laboratory confirmed positive cases.
Jackson County:
- Female: one under ten, and one in her thirties.
- Men: one teen, and one in his twenties
Health officials are currently monitoring 61 active cases. Jackson County has had 4,778 cases to date, with 72 related deaths. Of those positive cases, 4,645 individuals released from isolation, including 4 Sunday.
Williamson County:
- Females: one in their 20’s, one in their 40’s, one in their 70’s and one in their 80’s.
- Males: one in their 20’s.
To date, there have been a total of 7,262 laboratory confirmed positives in Williamson county including 119 deaths.
Illinois Department of Public Health:
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,250 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease Sunday, including 23 additional deaths.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 1,237,828 cases, including 21,251 deaths across the state.
A total of 5,528,422 vaccines have been administered.
