CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- The Hickory Ridge Golf Course in Carbondale is prepared to reopen this Friday, with a few restrictions.
You can only play in groups of two and golf carts will not be allowed unless you have a disability.
Each hole will also be elevated to reduce touching the sides of the cup.
The golf course superintendent says the new changes keep safety in mind, while having fun.
"It's 150 acres of a park-land setting. I think it's pretty easy to social distance, especially with the new rules, and I think hopefully it will help people's mental health as well as being to get out here an exercise and relax a little bit," said Trey Anderson.
Tee times will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. all week.
