HERRIN, Ill (WSIL)--A Herrin family is reaching out to the Community after one of their family members was hospitalized with COVID-19.
Kyle Griffith was transported to a St. Louis Hospital after his condition began to decline.
Griffith is currently adjusting from a Ventilator and ECMO.
Family members are looking for help to ease the burden of necessities while Griffith is in the Hospital, and family members said the support of the community has helped more than anything.
"And it's not even the money. It's just the love and support that we're receiving that is helping so much. So, it's not even about the GoFundMe, it's just knowing that everybody cares so much," said Griffith's sister-in-law Kimberly Holmes.
Griffith's family wants to remind everyone that during this time, if you're feeling sick, stay home.
You could be saving a life.
