SPRINGFIELD (WEEK) -- Illinois public health officials announced 15,415 new COVID-19 cases Friday, and another record was set for single-day testing with more than 106,000 tests reported.
The total number of cases statewide now stands at 551,957, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
And additional 27 COVID-19-related deaths were also reported, raising the total to 10,504.
As of Thursday night, 5,362 individuals throughout Illinois were reported to be in a hospital with COVID19, with 990 of those in the intensive care unit and 488 on ventilators.
Laboratories in the last 24 hours reported 106,540 tests for the virus, bringing the state's total to 8,871,640.
According to the IDPH, Region 2 under the Restore Illinois plan, which encompasses the Peoria and Bloomington-Normal areas, has a testing positivity rate of 15.6% through Nov. 10.
All but six counties throughout the state are now at a warning level, according to the IDPH including: Alexander, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Massac, Perry, Pulaski, Randolph, Saline, Washington, Wayne, White, Williamson.
