(WSIL) -- Health Departments in southern Illinois are reporting 16 additional cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.
Those counties are Franklin, Jackson, Saline and Williamson.
FRANKLIN COUNTY:
- Males: One in their 20’s and one in their 40’s
These two new cases bring the county's total to 50 cases. Of those positive cases, 18 have recovered.
JACKSON COUNTY:
- 7 new cases
The Jackson County Health Department reported the number of new cases on but did not give specifics. So far, there have been 357 cases in the county including 19 related deaths. There are 30 active cases.
SALINE COUNTY:
- A male in his 20s
This is the seventeenth lab-confirmed positive of COVID-19 in Saline County.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY:
- Females: Two in their 20’s and one in their 40’s.
- Males: One teenager and one in their 20’s
- One case is in their 20’s and gender is unknown
These new cases bring the county's total 163 positive cases including four deaths. Of these positive cases, 88 have recovered in Williamson County.
Illinois Department of Public Health:
State health officials are reporting 954 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday including an additional 20 fatalities.
These cases bring the state's total cases to 153,916 and the statewide death toll to 7,187 lives lost.
