(WSIL) -- Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department has reported one new positive COVID-19 case.
The health department says the new case is a Williamson County man in his 20s who likely acquired the virus through a correctional facility setting.
According to health officials, the man is home in isolation.
To date, there have been 17 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Williamson County and 6 confirmed cases in Franklin County.
Bi-County Health says six of those in Williamson County have recovered, while two have recovered in Franklin County.
On Monday, the Illinois Department of Public Health of 31,508 cases, including 1,349 deaths in the state.
