(WSIL) -- The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has announced 1,076 new cases of COVID-19, including 30 additional confirmed deaths.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 173,731 cases, including 7,446 deaths, in Illinois.
In southern Illinois, more than two dozen new cases were reported Tuesday.
FRANKLIN COUNTY
- One female in her 60s
There have been 109 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Franklin County. Health officials say, of the positive cases, 59 have recovered.
JACKSON COUNTY
- Female: One teen, eight in their 20s, two in their 30s, one in her 50s, and one in her 80s
- Male: Two in their 20s and one in his 30s
According to the Jackson County Health Department, there have been 558 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county, including 19 related deaths. Of the cases, 387 have been released from isolation; 152 active cases are currently being managed.
The health department says 70% of the cases reported in the county this month have been individuals in their teens and twenties.
On Sunday, Jackson County issued a "public health alert" to raise awareness in young adults and encourage changes in behavior.
JEFFERSON COUNTY
- Female: One in her 70s
- Male: One in his 30s and one in his 70s
Jefferson County Health Department says the new positive cases are each isolating at home. To date, there have been 177 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 14 deaths, in Jefferson County. As of Tuesday, 28 cases were active.
JOHNSON COUNTY
- One female in 10s
Johnson County has had 51 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of those cases, 28 are still active.
MASSAC COUNTY
- One male in his 50s
There have been 32 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Massac County. Currently, 20 cases are active.
PULASKI COUNTY
- One female in her 30s
Health officials have confirmed 92 total cases of COVID-19 in Pulaski County. Of the positive cases, 34 are still active.
RANDOLPH COUNTY
- One new case
Randolph County has had 422 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including seven related deaths. Health officials say 57 individuals are currently recovering at home. Another 358 individuals have been released to resume normal activity.
UNION COUNTY
- One female in her 20s and one female in her 40s
There have been 263 cases of COVID-19 in Union County, including 18 related deaths. Of the positive cases, 161 have recovered and 84 are still active.
WAYNE COUNTY
- One female in her 60s
There have been 33 confirmed cases of COVD-19, including one death, in Wayne County. Six people are currently isolating at home.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY
- Females: One in their 20s and one in their 30s
- Males: One child under 10, one teenager, and one in their 80s
To date, there have been 275 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including five deaths, in Williamson County. Of the positive cases, 175 have recovered.
