Randolph county reports largest single-day increase in COVID-19 cases

(WSIL) -- Health departments across southern Illinois are confirming 212 new cases of the virus on Sunday with Randolph County reporting its largest single-day increase since the start of the pandemic.

Franklin County:45

  • Genders and ages not provided

Jackson County: 20

  • Female: two under ten, three in their twenties, one in her thirties, one in her forties, one in her sixties, and one in her eighties.
  • Male: two under ten, one preteen, two teens, two in their twenties, one in his thirties, one in his fifties, one in his sixties, and one in his eighties.

Health officials are currently managing 423 active cases. To date, the county has had 2,162 including 28 related deaths. So far, 1,711 individuals have been released from isolation, including 21 Sunday.

Perry County: 52

  • Females: Two under the age of 15, one in her 20's, two in their 30's, four in their 40's, ten in their 50's, six in their 60's, four in their 70's, and two in their 80's.
  • Males: One under the age of 12, one under the age of 20, one in his 20's, seven in their 30's, two in their 40's, four in their 50's, three in their 60's, and two in their 80's.

To date, Perry County has had 770 confirmed cases of COVID-19 including 16 deaths. Currently 222 cases remain active. So far, 532 released from isolation. County health officials add that the total number of negative test results are unavailable to them at this time.

Randolph County: 50

  • Numbers are for November 14th but released on November 15th
  • Genders and ages not provided

To date, Randolph County has had 1,772 confirmed cases of the virus including 22 residents who have passed away. Of these positive cases, 1,517 have been released from isolation. Currently, health officials are managing 233 active cases.

This marks the largest single-day increase for Randolph County since the start of the pandemic.

Saline County: 6

  • Female: One in their teens, one in their 40鈥檚, and one in their 50鈥檚.
  • Male: One in their teens, one in their 30鈥檚, one in their 70鈥檚.

To date, Saline County has had a total of 976 lab confirmed positives, including 20 deaths.

White County:7

  • Female: One in their 30鈥檚, one in their 50鈥檚, one in their 60鈥檚, one in their 70鈥檚
  • Male: Two in their 30鈥檚, one in their 70鈥檚

White County has had a total of 458 lab-confirmed positives, including six deaths.

Williamson County: 32

  • Genders and ages not provided

Illinois Department of Public Health:

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) reported 10,631 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease Sunday, including 72 additional deaths.

Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 573,616 cases, including 10,742 deaths across the state.
