...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and will continue.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 22.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday morning and continue falling to 14.0 feet Friday,
April 25.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Rend Lake College closes campus to everyone except security

(WSIL) -- Rend Lake College leaders are taking enhanced steps to keep the college community safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a press release limited security and physical plant inspection personal will be the only ones allowed on campus.

All employees should move to completely remote and online work. All instruction will be delivered remotely the remainder of the semester. We will continue to work with faculty on creative ways to deliver educational outcomes for laboratory portions of the curriculum.No one is allowed on campus without permission from an Associate Vice President or higher. All previous permissions must be re-established after evaluating their absolute necessity.
