CARBONDALE (WSIL)-- After being notified of a positive COVID-19 case, a restaurant and child care center are temporarily closing.
Quatro's Deep Pan Pizza closed its doors to customers early Sunday night after the owner talked with the Jackson County Health Department.
The restaurant opened dine-in just three weeks age and will now cease operations for at least ten days.
In a statement to customers on , they say one of their employees is in self-isolation and just got back a positive Covid-19 test.
The restaurant plans to test all their employees and those results could push back the reopen date to 30 days.
The post on Facebook calling the temporary closure a move to keep everyone healthy, "Safest course of action for our staff, customers, and our community at large."
Meanwhile, Rainbow's End Child Development Center at SIU will also temporarily close starting Monday.
The announcement on comes after a positive COVID case and other symptomatic employees and students.
The plan now is to be closed for 10 days and improve operating practices.
However, those experiencing symptoms will be tested, which will impact when the center can reopen.
Rainbow's End apologized for the inconvenience to parents who are essential workers.
