WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. -- It's time to break out your patriotic gear, your American flags and your lawn chairs! We're only one day away from the 13th Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois. Veterans will take off for their day-long trip to Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Organizers say they have everything ready for their big welcome home ceremony.
The Kids' Zone kicks off at 5 p.m. that evening with inflatables, face painting and a lot more. Adults can look forward to a variety of food with a number of delicious food trucks on hand.
