MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky., (WSIL) -- The Marshall County Sheriff's Office would like to announce the kick-off of their annual Holiday Drive. The official start date is set for Friday, November 1, 2024, at 4 p.m. at the Walmart in Benton, Kentucky. Organizers say, like in years past, they will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Bags of Hope or make a monetary donation for Marcella's Kitchen.

The Sheriff's Office is trying something new this year, teaming up with the Marshall County School's Family Resource Youth Services Center to collect toys and hygiene items. Those items will go to kids and families within the Marshall County School system. Members with the office will be collecting those items every Thursday through Saturday at the Walmart in Benton, Kentucky from 4 p.m. through 6:30 p.m. Donations will also be accepted at the Sheriff Department.
