...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Peak daily heat index values up to around 105 degrees.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Friday.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged hot temperatures and high humidity may cause
heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

(WSIL) -- News 3 WSIL is celebrating local Seniors' accomplishments.

Graduates are putting on their caps and gowns and celebrating a major milestone in their lives. News 3 is working to highlight those each day on News 3 at 6:30 p.m.

Alexzandra Ellett graduated from Murphysboro High School.

She is headed to John A. Logan College.

Ellyana Fitzpatrick graduated from Sesser-Valier High School and is headed to Rend Lake College. She is planning to become a Nurse Practitioner.

Gavin Wagner graduated from Mount Vernon High School. He is also headed to Rend Lake College to study Business Marketing.
