Big Muddy River near Plumfield affecting Williamson and Franklin
Counties.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Murphysboro affecting Jackson County.

.Moderate flooding continues along the Big Muddy River. At both
Plumfield and Murphysboro, the river will continue to fall slowly
through next week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

- At 10:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 27.3 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:30 AM CDT Saturday was 27.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 21.4 feet
Saturday, April 19.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

(WSIL) -- News 3 WSIL is celebrating local Seniors' accomplishments.

Graduates are putting on their caps and gowns and celebrating a major milestone in their lives. News 3 is working to highlight those each day on News 3 at 6:30 p.m.

Anna Showers graduated from Mt. Vernon Township High School and is headed to Rend Lake College in the fall.

Janiah Henderson is taking a similar road. She also graduated from Mt. Vernon Township High School and is headed to Rend Lake to major in elementary education and be "the best she can be."

And Savannah Powell is a Marion High School graduate and will be attending John A. Logan College. She will study to become an EMT.
