18-year-old arrested after authorities investigate report of alleged threat

ZALMA, Mo. (WSIL) � An 18-year-old was arrested after authorities investigated a report of an alleged threat.

The Bollinger County Sheriff Casey Graham said they investigated a report of an alleged threat made by a student towards another student at Zalma High School on March 25.

Law enforcement said school officials were notified and the investigation led to the arrest of a suspect, identified as Jared Linan, 18 of Gipsy, Missouri.

Linan was then taken to the Bollinger County Jail.

Linan was cited with a 2nd Degree Terroristic Threat charge with a $25,000 cash only bond. 

Graham said they believe this was an isolated threat towards another person and there is no active threat or danger to students and staff.
