Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and will continue.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 23.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday morning and continue falling to 15.1 feet Thursday,
April 24.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

31-year-old killed in Cape Girardeau motorcycle crash

(WSIL) -- One person was killed during a motorcycle crash in Cape Giardeau Tuesday. 

Cape Police Officers responded to the area of South Sprigg Street, just south of La Cruz street, around 9 a.m. for a report of an accident. 

Officers found a motorcycle crash near the base of a bridge that spans over Cape La Croix Creek. Police say the driver left the road on the left-hand side, just prior to merging onto the bridge. 

The driver, now identified as 31-year-old Levi Asher of Cape Girardeau, was pronounced dead at the scene.
