Abducted child found safe in Johnson County

According to the sheriff's office the child has been located.

ORIGINAL STORY

JOHNSON CO., IL (WSIL) -- Sheriff's deputies in Johnson County are searching for a woman who they say abducted a five-year-old girl.

The suspect is Ruby V. Purnell. Investigators say she is the child's mother but does not have legal custody.

Deputies are searching for a gold or tan Ford minivan. It was last seen in the Sugar Creek subdivision around 10:40 a.m. Wednesday.
