...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Murphysboro and Plumfield.

.Levels will continue to slowly fall on the Big Muddy River, but
remain above flood stage through next week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

forecast.

- At 8:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 27.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 20.9 feet

Anna-Jonesboro High School mourns late coach

ANNA, Ill. -- The community of Anna-Jonesboro Community High School joined together in mourning on Wednesday.聽

The school's official broke the tragic news that Assistant Football Coach Nick Dillon passed away in a car crash. Dillon had only recently arrived with the Wildcats for the 2024-2025 school year. The school cited his "vibrant energy" and "passion" for football as his lasting impact.聽

"Despite his brief time with us, Coach Dillon quickly became a beloved member of our team," the school wrote. "Nick made an immediate impact on both our athletes and coaching staff, embodying the values and spirit of A-JCHS.聽

The school sent its thoughts and prayers to Dillon's family, fellow coaches, teammattes and anyone else who may have been touched by him.聽
