Hourly Forecast

WSIL(Carterville, IL)-- This morning, a lot of us are waking up to freezing conditions in our northern counties, especially in and around the Mount Vernon and Perryville areas. Otherwise, temperatures are in the mid to upper 30s. We are also tracking widespread frost this morning with clear skies.

Today, you can expect to see mostly sunny sunny skies all day today. Temperatures will be in the lower 40s by the time we make it to the 9 o'clock hour this morning. Temperatures will be in the lower 50s by the lunchtime hour, and we will see highs today in the upper 50s to near 60 for most of us.

Clear skies can be expected overnight tonight. This will help temperatures cool into the lower 30s tomorrow morning. Temperatures certainly could be close to the freezing mark, especially in southern Illinois, but highs tomorrow will be in the 60s.

Gradually, we will see temperatures warm into the lower 70s as we approach the weekend. Morning lows will also gradually return to more seasonable levels.
