...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and will continue.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 23.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday morning and continue falling to 15.1 feet Thursday,
April 24.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Beautiful Friday, but rain chances loom later this weekend

WSIL � It was an absolutely beautiful day! Saturday will offer up great chances to get yard work done in preparation of the upcoming growing season. Disclaimer: I don’t think we have seen our last frost or freeze quite yet. 

Dry weather sticks around through Saturday, but a weak upper-level storm system will bring more chances in the second half of the weekend. Scattered showers and even a rumble or two of thunder are possible Sunday and into Monday.

Cooler air moves in behind the rain on Monday with the possibility of another frost by Tuesday morning. 

The cool down is short lived with milder air quickly returning in the middle of next week. 

Chief Meteorologist Jim Rasor will have the latest forecast tonight on News 3 at 10 p.m.
