.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until late Sunday evening.

- At 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 23.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Big upgrades at Marion Town Square

Big upgrades at Marion Town Square

MARION, IL. (WSIL) -- There are some big upgrades around the Marion Town Square.

City leaders say they've taken down the construction fence, and made the clock in the tower operational once again. They've also installed ice rink equipment. That will be up and running Monday.

There are also some holiday decorations installed around the square.
