WSIL (Carterville) -- Today is the last of the unseasonably warm trend with highs this afternoon climbing into the upper 60s, low 70s. We're staying well above that average high of 56 degrees. A few clouds are beginning to work their way back to the region.Â

Cold front will begin moving through late tonight into Friday bringing along a chance for scattered showers. A complete washout instead expected but you may be dodging a few raindrops. Highest totals will only be 0.20" with most seeing roughly 0.10".Â
Great timing as far as the rainfall goes because it should be dry just in time for any of your Friday night and weekend plans.Â
The next disturbance moves through to kick off the next work week, and it'll be one to watch.Â
