FRANKFORT, Ky. (WSIL) � At the end of April, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear submitted a request to extend flood FEMA assistance for several counties.
This followed the deadly floods that caused widespread damage across the Commonwealth in early April.Â
On Wednesday, May 14th, Gov. Beshear announced the request for Individual Assistance was approved by President Donald Trump for 24 Kentucky counties.Â
Calloway County is among the communities on the list.Â
In a social media post, Gov. Beshear stated, "This process takes time, and we will continue to request more counties be added until everyone affected receives the support they need and deserve."
