Cape Girardeau Police honors domestic violence survivors

CAPE GIRARDEAU (WSIL) -- October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and the Cape Girardeau Police Department is honoring survivors. 

The department has a slew of purple flags placed out front of their building. Each flag represents a client served by the last year, a total of 475.

The Jackson Police Department also has two purple banners honoring the month.
