CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) -- Carbondale Police arrested a man after they say he gave a false report.

On November 26, 2024, at 5:15 p.m., Carbondale Police officers and firefighters responded to the 500 block of South Forest Street, after getting a call a vehicle had crashed into a house. Police say Aaron Allison, 34 of Carbondale, reported it had been stolen from the 900 block of West Main while he was in a store. Witnesses reported that the driver of the vehicle fled on foot after it crashed into the house.
