TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 108 expected.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Carbondale Police: Missing teen located

Carbondale Police say Frederking was located Tuesday afternoon "unharmed and in good health."

CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- Carbondale Police are asking for the public's help finding a missing teen.

Police say 17-year-old Victoria L. Frederking was last seen by a family member Friday in the 700 block of South Poplar Street.

Anyone with information about Frederking is asked to call the Carbondale Police Department at (618) 457-3200.
