Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping below
flood stage at Plumfield Sunday morning, and at Murphysboro Tuesday
morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage

Chili supper will support two local firefighters

Carrier Mills Fundraiser

SALINE COUNTY, ILLINOIS (WSIL) -- You can help two local firefighters with their upcoming medical expenses.

Carrier Mills is hosting a chili supper on Saturday February 26th. It will take place at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall starting at 5 p.m.

The meal is donation based and proceeds will go to Steve Wilson and Jerry Choat who have a combined 67 years of service to the community. 

There will also be a silent auction, 50-50 drawing and raffle items.
