below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

City of Mt. Vernon celebrates new incoming business

MOUNT VERNON CITY

Mt. VERNON, Ill (WSIL) -- Janitorial Supply Company, Pike Systems, is expanding to Mt. Vernon.

The business is based in Montgomery, Illinois, known for professionally cleaning hotels, hospitals and schools.

The city held a news conference this morning to welcome the business and encourage the community to shop locally.

"That's what our goal at Pike Systems is to help all of the businesses in the area succeed and have a resource someone they can go for expertise to help guide them in that process," said CEO Carolyn Quinn.

Opening day will be the first week of January and a grand opening is set for March of 2021.
