CARBONDALE, IL (WSIL) -- A Frock Swap in Carbondale attracted dozens to the Elk's Club Sunday afternoon.
The Swap started nearly 15 years ago when a couple of friends came together to "swap out" old clothing with other friends.
When it first started they used their homes as a place to meet, but it continued to grow each year, requiring more space. Now, twice a year, co-organizer Charlotte Solmon says they organize the Swap and invite the public to join them.
"It's just an event for the community," says Solmon. "It's not a fundraiser, it's not an organization, it's just something that we like to do for the community."
The Frock Swap is held the last Sunday in January and the last Sunday in July and any items that are left once the Swap ends are bagged up and given to charity.
