.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

- At 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 23.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Boil Water Order Lifted for All Buncombe Public Water District Customers

MAKANDA, Ill. -- Water customers with the Buncombe Public Water District will no longer need to boil their water before use.

The Buncombe Public Water District stated the boil water order has been lifted on Friday morning.

The boil water order went into effect on February 14 and was issued to all Buncombe Public Water District customers which was then stated to be in effect until further notice.
