Boil water order lifted for Villa Ridge customers

VILLA RIDGE, Ill. (WSIL) -- Authorities in Pulaski County have have informed residents around Villa Ridge their water is now safe to drink after earlier issuing a boil water order for Southwater customers.

Southwater earlier reported a water main break on Tomahawk Road in Villa Ridge on April 6.

Crews repaired the break on Sunday, however, they then issued a boil water order for customers from Shawnee College Road and south to boil their water.

As of April 8, at 9:15 a.m., tested samples came back satisfactory and the water is now safe to drink.
